I feel a real resonance to this source of research, as it practices my production of resources for the development of children’s psycho-emotional education from RIP and also also potential growth within my present FMP - focusing upon the gaps within children’s development. Though at present I am in the early stages of consideration upon the direction of my FMP, I am considering to utilise research obtained within RIP to underpin a collection of pedagogical teaching and learning resources, to overcome impact caused by the pandemic upon the development of children.
I will continue to reflect upon this source of research to determine how it supports and navigates the trajectory of my practice.
This phrase “gaps in the curriculum” is really resonating in comparison to the work I have been doing. I can’t help but wonder that my research undertaken within RIP highlights not only the developmental gaps of children - resulting from the pandemic, but also the gaps within the PSHE curriculum - based on selection and also lack of time. My work can potentially bridge the gap between both worlds.

The following source sheds light on one of the activities I intend on exploring through workshops : mind-mapping and exploring creative writing of analogies around problems / worries. The fictional work of C S Lewis was heavily inspired and motivated around childhood and how play and creative exploration is integral to that of health and development.
I can’t help but feel the work of Lewis is integral to not only my line of enquiry - gaps in children’s development post pandemic, but also has a place in gaps of children’s development in today’s society irrespective of the pandemic.
