Post-pandemic Pastoral Companion - Publication Guidebook

( PLEASE NOTE - the following is work in progress )

In the present preliminary stages of planning, I am paying consideration to the following intentions for this pedagogical therapeutic resource :

 - F l o w - c h a r t  C o n t e n t s :

An activity supported by characteristics governed by age of children within my concentrated cohort : 9-10. Children of this age possess a desire for independence and self-autonomy, alongside wanting to express themselves through self-discovery - through social development with peers and physical appearance. Children are drawn to activities that promote self-exploration and discovery, such as : completing quizzes / questionnaires, etc. My own child who displays great joy at “get to know” books and magazine articles that encourage him to discover more about himself. It made me realise this was a perfect opportunity to inject an element of these interests and motivations within the navigation of the resource. The flow-chart of contents will be the introduction to the resource, which will in turn encourage curiosity and involvement with the publication through genuine intrigue and enjoyment.

This will be something I plan to test with my own child to gain authentic feedback to determine effectiveness through genuine interaction.
